What are our fees?
We keep our overhead low so our pricing is very competitive. Full-time hires are generally billed at a percentage of first year salary while contract and contract-to-hire positions are billed hourly based on the consultant’s experience level and benefits cost. Rate breakdowns are available upon request.

Are you going to overwhelm my hiring managers with résumés?
Absolutely not! Smith Johnson picks our top 3 or 4 candidates for any given opening. We don’t see any point in sending 20 or 30 candidates to a hiring manager, which causes extra work for them instead of simplifying the hiring process. We have an excellent submission-to-hire ratio which also cuts down on the work of hiring managers. If you don’t get what you need from us the first time, our skilled client representatives will work with you to refine our search criteria and make sure we send you the best candidates.
What does your candidate search and qualification process consist of?
Smith Johnson recruiters are trained in all industry standard recruiting procedures. We screen for personality and corporate culture fit as well as skill fit and long-term goals. Our clients can request specific technical assessments, background checks, drug screening, education verification or reference checks to match their internal hiring requirements. How long does it take to hire candidates?
Time to hire depends on many factors. Those factors include your hiring timelines, skills required, screening requirements and your process for candidate selection. Positions requiring commonly available skills can take as little as 1-3 days to submit candidates. More difficult or uncommon skill sets can take longer. Our average search and qualification time is 1-3 days with most hires happening within 2 weeks. We’re ready and willing to move as quickly as our clients need and we’re in it for the long haul on those more complicated positions that could take an extended amount of time searching.
